… Fallacy is a wrong statement. At first I thought that the story was boring. At first I did not understand the idea of the story but as I went on reading. I found it interesting especially about the love triangle emerging between Petey Bellows, Polly Espy and the narrator or the author. Not only because the topic was about love, but also because of the question “How come love became a wrong word?”
I really admire him (Max Schulman) for making this.I think this story tells us not just a funny situation, what the different fallacies are,but it gives us morals as well. This story is gripping and definitely amazing. It speaks to the heart than to the head.
I thought it was a good ending, imagine after the all the sacrifices of the author Polly didn't care about it. I disliked the ending. It's such a sad ending, I thought at first hat they were meant to be (author and Polly) but they were'nt. I didn't thought that Polly was that hmmm... Dumb?!! She just chose Petey becaus he's got a raccoon coat. She never knew that the raccoon coat which Petey had came from the author.
It was as though she never cared about someone's feelings, she wants was to have what she wants. Love is really a fallacy in the story. She don't love a man for who he was but for what he have. The girl didn't care about the love the author was giving to her...
